Pillai Institute of Information Technology, Engineering, Media Studies and Research, New Panvel, is hosting its Inter-college Cultural Festival, "PEGASUS", on the 30th and 31st of January, 2012. The festival comprises of activities and events for students in the categories of music, art and dance. All the events are to be held in the Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel. This inter-college festival is expected to attract an overwhelming response from various colleges across Navi Mumbai and around.
The two days that the event has been planned will explore both participants and viewers to a cultural extravaganza. This year, the festival will hold 23 events, including some mega-events like Fashion Show, Group dance, Street Dance and Band Performance by "What's In The Name", a well known band who have performed at many big events and have recently been declared the runners up in the Channel [V] "Launch Pad". It will even hold events in the Music and Fine Arts category, which include Rangoli, Mehndi, Nail Art, Hair Styling; as well as events based on Photography and Film-making. "Instrumental" is an out-of-the box event, which will showcase the talent of participants in their proficiency over a specific instrument at a time. We have also added a touch of Nature and Environment to some of our events to bring out a feeling of Conservation of Nature among the participants. These events include Poster Making, Wealth from Waste, Click! (photography).
'YFORCE' (Youth FOR CEnterstage) is our title sponsor. It is an organisation which symbolises youth. It has been associated with our Institution since last year.
